Original 19thc Civil War Confederate hand written letter dated April 10 1863 from a soldier in the Army of Northern Virginia-1st Virginia Cavalry,Co I to his sister back home in Georgia...its a 1 page 2 sided letter thats fairly easy to read....hes on " Picket Duty at Ellis Mill on the Rappahannock River "...and asks his sister if she can get him a new coat in " Confederate Gray "..hes also interested in a horse sale back home and can she buy him a black one...has other info from Culpepper Court House...its 7 1/2 x 5 and its clean and readable with normal wear-has original fold lines and creases with small seam tear..looks and displays well and is guaranteed original and authentic ...Shipping is via USPS in US and overseas…check listing for other period Civil War items including several Confederate documents...always glad to combine on multiple buys when possible
